Something Insightful

Normally, some of us post something insightful and deep. I never do that. It's not that I can't, rahter I never chose to do so.

So yesterday I went to my second 49ers game. It was, of course, a massive disappointment. They played the Vikings. What was awesome was the Niners held the rookie sensation, and leading rusher in the NFL, Adrian Peterson, to only 3 yards on 14 carries. The kick and punt returning was great! So things look good, right? Wrong. We lost 27-7. Not only that, Trent Dilfer got injured right before the half. This means our 3rd string QB Shaun Hill was gonna play the second half. Do you want to know something about Shaun Hill? Ok. Here we go. The dude has been in the league since 2002. This is his 2nd year as a 49er. Until yesterday, Shaun Hill has never thrown a pass in the NFL. He actually ran the ball twice in 2005, where he gained -2 yards on 2 carries. Yep. And I have historical footage ya'll! Here is a video of Shaun Hill's first ever throw:

How awesome is that? He was 22/28 in the game. Amazing for a guy who has seen literally no playing time. I hope he does well this Sunday. I really think he can give us a chance to win. My dad told me that a fan died at the game yesterday. I just found the article. Check it out:

SAN FRANCISCO - A San Francisco 49ers fan fell 20 feet to his death Sunday at Monster Park, from an upper concourse railing down onto a ramp, a team official said.
The death was ruled an accident by police and medical examiners, said Lisa Lang, 49ers vice president of communications. Authorities were withholding the adult male fan's identification pending notification of family, she said.

"It's a very unfortunate incident and everyone with the 49ers is upset about it," Lang said.

The fan was on the upper concourse level near concession stands during the second quarter of the team's game against the Minnesota Vikings. The fan somehow fell over a four-foot high, six-inch thick wall, with a top that slopes toward the concourse to prevent people from placing drinks on it, Lang said.

The man landed on a ramp leading to the mezzanine level, Lang said.

Emergency crews reached the man immediately and treated him for about 30 minutes before he was pronounced dead at the scene, Lang said.

The fan attended the game with a group of people, but it was unclear who they were. There were witnesses who spoke with police, Lang said.

The last accidental death at the park was in 1985 during a Monday Night Football game, Lang said.

That is sad. This made me think. I was in the same building as someone who's life was unfortunately cut short. That's never comforting to know.

So my grandma is gonna live at my house now. She was found wandering the streets Saturday morning. We can't leave her by herself anymore, cause we just plain don't know what she's gonna do if we aren't around. We're afraid she's gonna wander off and get lost. And that is clearly a bad thing in this kind of weather. I had to take care of her this morning. I didn't realize how much Portuguese I've forgotten off the top of my head when I speak it. I need to brush up on it. This is kind of a big change in my life. We're talking no more home alone for me. What the hell? This might be a sign. Maybe it's time for me to move out. Or maybe this means I need to stay here and help take care of my grandma. I'm so not family oriented. I never have been, and maybe someday I will be. I don't hate my family. I just have problems interacting with them. I never grew up with many cousins and family members to hang out with. My grandma is the only grandparent I grew up with. How lucky everyone else is to have family around them, and to have grandparents too. I never completely had that honor on a consistant basis.

I got invited to a surprise birthday party. It's for Meagan. Meagan is a girl that I'm friends with from school. She turned 20 a few days ago. She's part of my communications crew. Me, Meagan, Jennifer, and Isidro. We are actually really close. We have great chemistry as a group, and are always helping each other out. Jennifer is 25, but she looks my age. Isidro is 24, but he too looks my age. I kinda had a thing for Meagan, but quickly got over it. I didn't want to pursue her any further after a few weeks, cause I didn't want to settle.

Something I've been doing for a while now is settle. Why should I settle for something when I should be going after the big enchilada? Yes, I am referring to Zahiry. She's the big enchilada, and she makes a mean enchilada too. I've been scared to tell her for a really, really long time how I felt, so it's really great to finally tell her. I told her I believe 4 weeks ago? I forgot alreay. Whatever. Anyways, for her to tell her she liked me too was a massive lift to my spirits. And I swear, every single day it get's better and better. She makes me 100x more excited for this vacation to come around. I want her more than anything I've ever wanted in my entire life. I deserve this. I deserve the best. I deserve her. All the bullcrap I've been through with girls, this girl right here finally gives me something to look forward too.

This turned out to be a really long post. This is almost the end of this blogger. If you don't remember, then let me reinform you. I'm gonna stop blogging on this blog when I reach 100. I got 1 more random blog, then I'm going to do a 2007 Rewind post, and the Post 100: The Finale. How exciting. If you read this whole post, then you kick major ass!
